A true PeopleSoft DBA is first a recognised database DBA (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, DB2) with several years experience and capable of carrying out all DBA tasks including trouble shooting and performance tuning. Then, additionally, the PeopleSoft DBA has several years experience of PeopleSoft at the technical level and is an expert in PeopleTools, 3rd party tools and applications, Tuxedo, etc. Often, the PeopleSoft DBA is also an experienced Technical Architect.
